For more than 15 years, The Flavor Experience has been known as a distinguished event for the foodservice industry, a destination for trend-forward content, tastes and experiences. Held each August in Southern California, the event was born out of a strategic alliance between Flavor & The Menu magazine and BSI Conferences, Inc., with a vision of bringing the foodservice industry’s passion for flavor to life with thought-provoking content and food & beverages. Since its inception, The Flavor Experience has grown from a small event to a celebrated conference, becoming an essential resource for foodservice operators looking to stay ahead of the trends and inspired in their food and beverage menu-development efforts.
The Flavor Experience entered a new era in 2019 with a change of ownership that brings the event fully in the hands of the Flavor & The Menu team, guided by the same commitment to quality and experience. As president, Flavor & The Menu Publisher & Editor-in-Chief Cathy Nash Holley will oversee the continued growth of the event, ensuring a high-impact experience for both operator attendees and sponsors.
Given the cancellation of events in 2020, this year’s Flavor Experience will take place in a virtual setting on December 1 & 2. While the loss of in-person events for our industry is palpable, and the energy of face-to-face gatherings is difficult to replace, the shift to virtual conferencing has become a necessary norm for 2020.
The foodservice industry in particular is in need of solutions and trend-oriented content to help navigate the many unknowns of months and years ahead. The Flavor Experience team is committed to delivering content this event is known for—engaging discussions, bright insights, data-driven menu strategies, big-think idea sessions and broad trend talks that cover food and beverage menu development.
