Melodie has been on the ground floor of taking nascent ideas and making them big business for multi-billion-dollar organizations. C-stores to CPG to QSRs (and every acronym in between!), she has created emerging concepts for Starbucks and led the sensory and culinary team that launched Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh Private Brands, spanning 3000-plus SKUs across physical retail and e-commerce. From award-winning product innovation to supplier strategy, Melodie has led end-to-end culinary execution at national scale—bringing the art of food and the science of trendspotting to the rigor of enterprise operations. Before Amazon and Starbucks, Melodie cut her teeth in the culinary world as a private chef for the wealthiest families in the world. Growing up as food insecure in Oakland, Calif., she was determined do her part to bridge the economic gap with products that are delightfully delicious and surprisingly good-valued for all customers. Always expanding her culinary curiosity, she is proud to be a two-time winner of the Kitchen Collaborative.
